South West Region day out at farm park Feb 2017

The February half term day out for the staff and fostering families took place at Trethorne Farm Park.

Lots of good times in the winter sunshine looking at and petting the animals; including some new born goats (just a day old) and some very cute piglets, plus cow milking, lama spit dodging and pony rides.

Then hours of fun in the giant indoor play barn. All of the children were given passes for the climbing wall, although not everyone was keen… Another cause of fear vs bravery were the death slides,  as children (and a few staff) confronted their fear and took the plunge. There was a lot of moral support given by some children to others who were trying to call up the death slide courage.

Another highlight was an impromptu tractor race….
